"Way too expensive for these tiny bottles"
It does smell nice, I’ll give it that, but come on... these stingy little bottles are way too small for what they cost. I used it for a while and didn’t notice enough of a difference to justify buying it again. Feels like a pricey little cash grab to me.

"Bought this detergent because everyone kept saying the..."
Bought this detergent because everyone kept saying the scent was so nice, but wow, way too strong for me.

Towels came out smelling like someone sprayed perfume all over them. Tried running another rinse, and still couldn’t get it to calm down.

Ended up giving me a headache, and made my closet smell weird too. Not buying again, just not for me.

"Nice scent, but I felt kind of left in the dark on performance"
I really wanted this to work because the scents are really nice. But after a few washes, I was kind of left in the dark wondering if I was using it wrong or if it just wasn’t strong enough. My workout shirts still had that lingering odor, and some kitchen towels came out with the same spots they went in with. For the price, I expected it to handle more than just lightly worn clothes. It’s okay for stuff that isn’t really dirty, but I wouldn’t count on it for real stains or smells...

"Shipping was okay, but the delay felt unnecessary"
My order showed up later than expected, which was a bit frustrating and felt unnecessary. The packaging was fine though, and everything arrived in good shape.

"Refund was sorted, but the wait made me hesitate"
I had to reach out to The Laundress about a refund after my order didn’t work out. Customer service did get back to me, but it took a few days between replies, and I ended up having to follow up once, which was a little frustrating.

The refund did come through eventually, so I appreciate that they fixed it. Still, the whole process felt slower than it needed to be, and if support is like this again, I’d probably think twice about ordering from them in the future

"Gentle, though I kind of expected more"
I’ve been using this on my sweaters and more delicate stuff, and I’ll give it credit for being gentle. I usually assume products like this might be a little risky on softer fabrics, but nothing has been damaged so far. That said, I also assumed soaking would help with tougher stains, and a few still didn’t really come out. It’s nice if you’re mainly trying to protect your clothes, but I wouldn’t count on it for anything too stubborn. Overall, average for me.

"It does clean well when..."
It does clean well when it decides to work, but that’s kind of the problem. Sometimes it’s fine, other times it feels like it works when it wants to, which is frustrating. I’m also a little worried about the safety side of it, so I can’t say I’m totally comfortable using it all the time

"Did anyone else have their bottle leak in the box?"
My package showed up wet, and it looked like the detergent had leaked all over the inside of the box. About half the bottle was gone by the time it got to me. Frustrating and a big mess to clean up. Not sure if I just got unlucky, but has this happened to anyone else?
